Charlton Recreation Area is nestled in Ouachita National Forest located 20 miles west of Hot Springs. There are three camping loops, with group sites available in loops A and C. Camp sites with electricity, water and sewer are available in loop C. Sites water and electric are available in loop B. The recreation area features picnic, swim, hike, fish and camp along picturesque Walnut Creek a cold, spring-fed mountain stream in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest.
